Universal Inflatables is the sister company of Universal Discotheques, which has been running for over 25 years. Our success is measured by the amount of referrals from our clients who have recommended us to collegues, family and friends.
Our main objective is to provide you, the customer, with a clean, safe and reliable inflatable for your hire.
We understand that the best way to keep the kids amused (big Kids included) is to hire something fun which allows them to release all that energy, and what better way to do this is through inflatables.
This allows the adults some chill out time, however, the hire is based on one responsible adult supervising. This can be done on a rotational basis.
A hire can be booked on a 4hr (half day hire) or an 8hr (full day hire). Contact us for a quote.
We only source inflatables which meet current British and European Standards.
All our Inflatables are flame retardant and meet current PIPA Standards.
Safety:
We take Safety very seriously.
All of our inflatables are manufactured and fully compliant to BSEN 14960 and PIPA standards.

Each and every seam on the Inflatable bouncy castle is flat sewn for strength.
All Inflatable bouncy castles are delivered with a reinforced, sewn in rain cover. For superb strength and performance this rain cover is manufactured from 20OZ PVC.
Prior to the hire we will carry out a safety inspection with the hirer present. The hirer will also be briefed in the safety aspects during the hire and will also be provided with their own safety sheet.
If at any point the hirer is not happy with the safety inspection or safety guidelines then the hire will be terminated in order to protect both the company and the hirer. (To date, this has never happened!)
All signed paperwork must be kept by the company as a record, which is required by law during Annual Inflatable Inspections.
It has come to our attention that there are bouncy castle operators working in this area who are hiring out toy bouncy castles rather than the real thing. These castles are made of a nylon material and are inflated by a little blower which is not much bigger than a hair dryer! They tend to sag rather than bounce and are definitely not up to entertaining a horde of excited children! Typically they are being hired out slightly cheaper than proper castles even though they cost just a fraction as much to buy. One final point is that they are manufactured to a different set of standards, the packaging would clearly state that they are not suitable for hire and if the operator was insured against public liability then the policy would be invalidated because the equipment is not suitable. Please be aware and choose who / where you hire from carefully! Our castles are the proper commercial type, they are regularly cleaned and maintained, and they pass annual safety inspections.
Unfortunately in the inflatable play industry it is increasingly common that uninsured and unqualified opportunist hirers are operating equipment that is unsafe or unsuitable for hire. These hirers are a risk both to your children and to the reputation of the industry as a whole. If you are looking around at other hire firms, make sure your children are not put at risk from faulty equipment. Ask the following questions to be sure:
Do you conform to the PIPA Scheme? YES
Do you carry out daily checks on the equipment as required by EIS7? YES
When was the equipment last fully inspected? 2009
Will I get full instructions on the safe operation of the equipment? YES
Can I see the current PIPA test certificate for this equipment? YES
Are you a member of a relevant association? (AIMODS, NAIH or BIHA?) YES
Do you have Public Liability Insurance? YES
